Will we be able to see a book (item) history... for example in Workflows I can find out who the previous user was, total number of checkouts and in house uses a book has had, date when the item record was created, last activity, last discharged, and last charged.

Client Care Response:

The item history is not in the 3.3 release. It is on our development list and we do plan on adding this information to display.

For now, you will need to call Mark and he will be able to tell you who last had the item checked out.

Web Client keeps timing out.

There are three things happening as best we can tell that are causing the Staff Web Client to log you out.

1.  I had to reset the session time out from 30 minutes to 660 minutes and halt the server to make it stick. 
2.  Because you view GroupWise in the web browser any time you log into GroupWise it will override the Staff Web Client and log you out of the Staff Web Client and into GroupWise.
The workaround for this -- and this is a standard browser issue not specific to the Staff Web Client -- is to open a browser window and log into the Staff Web Client.  Then, click on the Internet Explorer icon and open a second browser window.  Only access GroupWise or any other internet activity in this second browser window.  This should help keep the staff client from logging you out.
3. You may be experiencing network issues caused by many students/teachers using the network at one time. This may cause flickers in the connectivity which will cause connection interruption.
Staff Client will not load on some of the PCs at some of the libraries. Rick will be coming around to install Internet Explorer 7.
How are In House uses recorded? The Staff Web Client automatically counts anything that is not currently checkout that you try to check in as an In House use. Just check the item in.
Student badges do not have the leading zeros printed on them.

Immediate Fix:

1. Connie can print student barcodes which include the leading zeros with the name but not the numeric User ID that can be placed on the badges.

or

2. Look the students up by name

 
Cannot search for a student by first name.

Client Care Response: This type of searching is not available in the Staff Web Client. Currently, we plan on adding the full keyword searching in version 3.4 of the StaffWeb client. The target release date for 3.4 is the first quarter of 2011.
